View registered devices

Open SemaFore’s in-app Notification Settings screen to see the iOS devices registered to your account. The list identifies the iPhone you are currently using and shows its registration state separately from the iOS alert, sound, and badge permissions.

If alert delivery is disabled at the operating-system level, use the link to iOS Settings from this screen to change it.

Retire a device

Select the registered iPhone you intend to remove and choose the retirement action. Check the device name and the current device marker before confirming.

Retirement removes that registered device route from SemaFore. It does not revoke every device on the account.

What current-device retirement deletes

Retiring the iPhone you are using is a destructive local action. It deletes this installation’s:

  • messages, broadcasts, groups, and group messages
  • encrypted drafts and pending-send records
  • sign-in credentials and restored organisation context
  • conversation encryption keys and ratchet state
  • cached profile, notification, and recipient-route state

SemaFore also replaces the retired app-generated device identifier. The deleted local message and key state cannot be restored from the server.

Set up this iPhone again

After current-device retirement, SemaFore shows Device removed. Choose Set up this iPhone again to begin fresh authentication.

The app creates a new device identifier, generates fresh encryption keys, and registers the existing APNs delivery token against the replacement device only after authentication. The replacement registration follows the normal approval flow, so you may need to wait for your organisation administrator before messaging resumes.

Re-registration starts a new local history. It does not restore messages or drafts deleted with the retired device identity.
